Family and friends are grieving the tragic deaths of a young Washington state couple, Ilya and Sophia Tsaruk, who died while snorkeling during a babymoon in Hawaii. Sophia was pregnant with their second child, and they had an 18-month-old son. The couple was found unresponsive in the water near Maui and were pronounced dead at the scene. A celebration of life and burial service will be held for them in Washington. The couple was on vacation with family members when the incident occurred, and they were wearing full face snorkel masks. The cause of their deaths is still under investigation, though it is speculated that the snorkel mask may have caused Sophia to panic. The surviving toddler is being cared for by family. The Tsaruks were looking forward to welcoming their daughter, Melody, and had been preparing a room for her. They were described as excited about life and what the future held for them by their loved ones.
