During the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, Taylor Swift had a connection on the field through Khalen Saunders, a defensive tackle for the Saints. Khalen’s brother, Kameron Saunders, is a backup dancer for Swift and was in attendance at the game. Khalen intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the end zone in the third quarter, right after he had laid a big hit on Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The ESPN broadcast had shown a photo of Kameron, Swift, and Kelce together in London, where Kelce had joined Swift as a dancer onstage during one of her performances. Khalen’s interception led to a significant play for the Saints. When asked whom his brother was rooting for during the game, Khalen jokingly stated that Swift is his brother’s boss but that he was there first. Khalen, 28, is in his second year with the Saints after being a third-round pick for the Chiefs in 2019. He played four seasons for the Chiefs, winning two Super Bowls with the team and Kelce before joining the Saints in 2022. The unique connections on the field added an interesting dynamic to the game between the Chiefs and the Saints.
