Students at the University of Alabama facing charges following an incident of alleged hazing where a pledge was pushed and stepped on

Several University of Alabama students, including Christopher Theodore Molineaux, Grant Henry Rakers, Joshua Donald Ferrito, and Charles William Grey, were charged with two counts of hazing in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred at the Pi Kappa Phi house in late August. Court documents claim that videos captured the pledges being forced to their hands and knees, yelled at, stepped on, pushed, and had items thrown at them during an initiation event. On a separate occasion, pledges were reportedly made to perform forced exercises against a wall, with fraternity members yelling at them. Molineaux was accused of shoving and striking one of the pledges during the second incident. Three other students were charged for failing to stop the hazing or report it. Another student, Stefan Maksimovich, was also charged in connection with the events.

The University of Alabama stated that hazing is strictly prohibited and an investigation led to the campus police department serving warrants against the students involved. The school emphasized that hazing violates university policy, the Code of Student Conduct, and the law, and that they take such matters seriously. Pi Kappa Phi did not respond to a request for comment.
