Magellan Jets acquires second technology company

Boston-based private jet seller Magellan Jets has made another technology-forward move following its acquisition of Stellar last year. The company has now acquired Fly Louie’s Platinum Charter sourcing, scheduling, and sales division to expand its operator-centric technology platform.

With the acquisition, Fly Louie’s retail charter services are now offered by Magellan Jets. Customers can expect the same quality standards and safety, along with a broader range of options for their private air travel needs. According to the announcement, Stellar’s expertise in sales, demand aggregation, and flight scheduling will benefit Fly Louie’s customers by providing industry-leading sales and quoting technology.

By partnering with Stellar, operators will have access to an expanding pool of aggregated charter demand, AI-driven tools, and increased efficiency to maximize revenue. Dan Morrison has been appointed as VP of Procurement and Logistics, while Matt Dalton is now the Director of Sourcing and Scheduling.

Stellar’s Chief Technology Officer Terry Truta emphasized the combined entity’s unparalleled expertise in technology and retail demand. Additional services such as group purchasing, pilot benefits, and new AI tools are being evaluated to provide greater value for operators.

Fly Louie CEO Julia Takeda sees the acquisition as a natural evolution to drive operator revenue with a broader suite of tools and technology offered by Stellar. Magellan Jets’ acquisition of Stellar in 2023 is part of its strategy to build a strong portfolio of technologies and services to accelerate growth, profitability, and efficiency.
