The New Jersey high school football season has come to a thrilling close, with two final state champions being crowned. Now, it’s time to determine the best offensive performers of the season. With 13 nominees vying for the title, fans have until Dec. 20, 2024, to cast their votes.
Among the standout players is Turay, who led New Jersey in rushing with a school-record 2,517 yards and 37 touchdowns. Moran showcased his passing skills with 4,513 yards and 47 touchdowns for his team, which finished 9-1. Brooks set state records with 1,260 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns, while O’Toole threw for 2,893 yards and 25 touchdowns, leading his team to a perfect 13-0 season.
Hill impressed with 2,336 yards rushing and 27 touchdowns against tough competition, while Porter caught 57 passes for 969 yards and 11 touchdowns for the top team in New Jersey. Valerio led Toms River North to an undefeated season with 3,268 total yards and 38 total touchdowns.
Parker set school records with 2,916 yards passing and 43 touchdown passes, helping Winslow Township secure the Group 4 title. Smith led South Jersey with 1,809 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns, ending the season with 402 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns in the Group 1 state final.
Anderson may not have had the same team success, but he still managed to achieve his second straight 2,000-yard rushing season with 2,244 yards and 34 touchdowns for Lakewood. The competition is tough, but each nominee has proven their skills on the field, making it a difficult decision for voters to pick the best of the best.
