Mysterious Drones Reported Flying Over New Jersey Spark Concern Among Residents and Officials
Residents and officials in New Jersey have been left puzzled and concerned by the recent sightings of large mysterious drones flying over various parts of the state. These drones, which are reported to be up to 6 feet in diameter and sometimes travel with their lights turned off, have been spotted flying from New York City through New Jersey and westward into parts of Pennsylvania.
Despite efforts to detect and track these drones using traditional methods like helicopters and radios, they seem to evade detection. Lawmakers, including Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia, have met with state police and Homeland Security officials to discuss the sightings and express their concerns.
While drones are legal in New Jersey, operating them requires adherence to local and FAA regulations. Most of the drones spotted were larger than those typically used by hobbyists, raising questions about their origins and intentions. The FBI has launched an investigation and urged residents to share any information or evidence they may have.
The Coast Guard has also reported encounters with drones near Barnegat Light and Island Beach State Park, prompting calls from congressmen for military assistance in dealing with the situation. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any sightings to authorities.
Despite assurances from officials that the drones do not pose an immediate threat, the mystery surrounding their presence continues to fuel speculation and concern among New Jersey residents.
