NJ Targeted by Winter Storm: Updated Snow and Ice Accumulations

New Jersey is preparing for a winter storm that is expected to bring up to 7 inches of snow to some parts of the state, leading to potentially hazardous road conditions. A winter storm warning is in effect for northeastern NJ, while central and southern parts of the state will experience lighter snowfall. A winter weather advisory is also in place for most of the state. The storm is predicted to start on Saturday evening and continue into Sunday morning. Ice accumulation is also expected, with up to one-tenth of an inch on untreated surfaces. The storm has prompted commercial vehicle restrictions on several highways starting at 3 p.m. Saturday. Another winter weather system is expected to bring more significant snowfall on Tuesday. Residents are advised to stay updated on the latest forecasts and take precautions to ensure their safety during the storm.
