New Jersey police work to rescue fox trapped in plastic with neck and leg caught – NBC10 Philadelphia

Police in Washington Township, New Jersey are urging residents not to feed a fox named Bingo, who has been spotted with its leg and neck trapped in plastic venting. The fox, believed to potentially be pregnant and suffering from mange, has been seen near the Washington Township Police Station and the Senior Center. Officials hope to safely free the animal from the plastic venting, but feeding it is making it harder to trap. The nonprofit Mangy Fox Rescue is working to capture Bingo for proper care. Residents are asked to call 609-491-3511 if they spot Bingo. Law enforcement officials have made it clear that the priority is to safely capture the fox so it can receive the treatment it needs. The community is urged to cooperate with this effort in order to help save Bingo the fox.
