Morristown Prepares for New Jersey Cipher’s Takeoff


Arena football is set to make a return to Northern and Central Jersey with the introduction of a new ENTFLA team, the Ciphers. The team unveiled their new Head Coach, Nicholas Coppola, and General Manager, Chris Martone during a press conference at the 1776 Restaurant in Morristown.

Coppola, known for his competitive spirit and coaching experience, expressed his excitement for the upcoming season and emphasized the importance of communication and recruitment. The coaching staff will also include Defensive Coordinator Julian Robinson and Offensive Coordinator A.J. Roque, who brings playing experience in indoor leagues to the team.

Martone, with a background in business management, aims to build partnerships within the Morris County community for the Ciphers. The team plans to provide affordable family entertainment with a combination of football games, concerts, halftime shows, and afterparties.

The 2025 season will consist of eight games over nine weeks, starting on June 6. The Ciphers will play their home games at Mennen Arena in Morristown, with the season opener on June 21 against the Fitchburg Heroes.

The team’s focus on community engagement and providing accessible entertainment options aligns with their goal of becoming a valuable asset to the area. With a strong coaching staff and leadership team in place, the Ciphers are poised to make an impact on the arena football scene in New Jersey.
