Parked car in NJ struck by poultry truck and catches fire

A poultry truck carrying frozen chicken in Fairview, N.J. escaped its brakes, crashed into another vehicle, and burst into flames on Wednesday morning. Thankfully, no injuries were reported as both vehicles were empty. However, the fire damaged the tractor-trailer full of chicken, the vehicle it hit, and the exterior of a nearby building.

Dramatic video footage captured firefighters working to extinguish the flaming wreckage from the top of a building on Industrial Avenue. The crash occurred around 6:10 a.m., with police dealing with smoking chicken well into the morning. The poultry was intended for a nearby business, but when the brakes failed, it rolled downhill, veered sideways, and collided with the parked car.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the brake failure and the extent of the damage caused by the fiery crash. Thankfully, the incident did not result in any injuries to individuals, although it certainly caused quite a spectacle in the early hours of the morning in Fairview.
