Woman from New Jersey accused of attempting to murder police officer ex-boyfriend through Tinder rendezvous

A New Jersey woman, Jaclyn Diiorio, has been charged with hiring a man she met on Tinder to kill her police officer ex-boyfriend and his daughter. Diiorio is facing charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and possession of a controlled substance. According to authorities, Diiorio met the informant on Tinder and offered to pay him $12,000 to carry out the murders.

The ex-boyfriend, a 53-year-old Philadelphia Police Department officer, stated that Diiorio was his former barber, and they broke up in March 2024. Diiorio had also filed a restraining order against the officer in the past, which was later dropped. The officer reported that his home was vandalized with a Molotov cocktail in September 2022.

Diiorio was taken into custody after meeting the informant and giving him an initial payment of $500 in cash. She is set to have a detention hearing on Wednesday. Authorities are urging anyone with information about Diiorio or the case to contact Detective Ryan Durham of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
