Southern-based chicken chain Bojangles is set to open its first location in New Jersey in Piscataway on April 22. The popular fast-food chain plans to open additional locations in Neptune, Marlboro, and Vineland, with a total of 10 outposts in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, and Union counties by 2022. Bojangles is known for its fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, and sweet tea, offering a menu that includes fried chicken, chicken tenders, sandwiches, breakfast biscuits, salads, and more. The company, founded in North Carolina in 1977, currently operates over 800 locations across 20 states.
The opening of Bojangles in New Jersey has been highly anticipated, with a previous location in Newark having closed years ago.
