Ray Shero, Former General Manager of the Devils, Dies at Age 62

Former New Jersey Devils general manager Ray Shero has sadly passed away at the age of 62. Shero was known for his successful tenure with the Devils from 2015 to 2020, during which he made significant moves like drafting stars Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, and Jesper Bratt, as well as bringing in notable players like Taylor Hall, Kyle Palmieri, and P.K. Subban.

Prior to his time with the Devils, Shero served as an assistant general manager for the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators, followed by a successful stint as the general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he won a Stanley Cup in 2009. Shero then spent the last four seasons with the Minnesota Wild as a Senior Advisor to the GM.

In other news, the New Jersey Devils continue to impress on the ice, with a recent 4-0 win against the New York Rangers. The team now boasts a 41-29-7 record on the season and has won their last three games. As they honor the memory of Ray Shero, the Devils look to build on their recent success and continue to dominate on the ice.
