JJJJound and Vans Team Up for Half Cab Collaboration Under OTW Label

Montreal-based design studio JJJJound has collaborated with Vans under the newly rebranded OTW by Vans label to release a stripped-back version of the iconic Half Cab sneaker. The LX Half Cab Reissue 33 Decon comes in two refined colorways, black and burgundy, with premium suede uppers and minimalist detailing. The deconstructed design removes traditional padding for a sleeker profile and softer feel, making it ideal for “retired skaters” transitioning into everyday life.

This collaboration marks a continuation of JJJJound and Vans’ partnership, with a focus on merging skate heritage with fashion-forward design. The goal of OTW by Vans is to explore more directional and design-led products, fitting perfectly with JJJJound’s understated design language. The release is set for April 17 via JJJJound’s website, with prices expected to be in the $140-$160 range.

The collaboration aims to refine, rather than redefine, the Half Cab sneaker for a different kind of skater—those who appreciate craftsmanship, subtle details, and a deeper connection to the pieces they wear. As OTW by Vans gains momentum, this release sets the tone for the rebranded label, offering a thoughtful take on a skate classic for a discerning audience.
