Twenty Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash on New Jersey Turnpike
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A multi-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike left twenty people injured on Sunday afternoon. The incident, which occurred around 1 p.m. on the northbound outer roadway just north of the U.S. Route 206 interchange in Chesterfield Township, involved two buses and two cars, according to initial reports from authorities.
Emergency responders treated some victims on-site, while others were transported to local hospitals. Thankfully, none of the injuries were reported as serious, and there were no fatalities connected to the crash, according to CBS News.
The collision caused significant traffic disruptions, leading to a backup of approximately four miles towards the Pennsylvania Turnpike interchange in Mansfield Township by 3:40 p.m. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash, and further updates are expected as the situation develops.
