Derek Carr, the veteran quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, has announced his retirement following a diagnosis of a labral tear in his right shoulder and significant degeneration of his rotator cuff. At 34 years old, Carr’s career spanned 11 seasons, beginning with the Oakland Raiders, who selected him in the 2014 NFL Draft.
