Michigan Football Finalist for Four-Star Defensive Lineman Damari Simeon
ANN ARBOR, MI – Michigan football has emerged as a finalist for four-star defensive lineman Damari Simeon. The talented 6-foot-3, 275-pound prospect from Richland, NJ, has included the Wolverines in his final four alongside Ohio State, Penn State, and Texas, adding significant momentum to Michigan’s recruiting efforts.
Ranked as the 202nd player in the 2026 class by 247Sports’ Composite, Simeon is also recognized as the 26th best defensive lineman and the third-best player from New Jersey. As part of his recruitment journey, Simeon is scheduled for an official visit to Michigan on May 30. This will be followed by visits to Penn State (June 6), Texas (June 13), and Ohio State (June 20).
Current predictions indicate that Penn State holds a slight edge in securing Simeon’s commitment, with a 23.7% chance, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine.
A recent scouting report from On3 highlighted Simeon’s exceptional skills, noting his remarkable burst and lateral movement on the defensive line. Recognized for his ability to overpower blockers, he consistently disrupts plays and demonstrates impressive body control. Experts praise his low pad level, which allows him to effectively manhandle offensive linemen and identify opportunities in opposing backfields.
As Michigan continues to bolster its roster, Simeon’s potential addition could significantly enhance the team’s defensive capabilities in the coming seasons.
