Vancouver Whitecaps FC Announces Multi-Year Partnership with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP
The Vancouver Whitecaps FC has officially welcomed Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) as their newest sponsor, marking the club’s entry into a multi-year partnership. Announced Friday morning, BLG is now the official law firm and jersey sleeve sponsor of the Whitecaps, displaying its logo on the right sleeve of the team’s home and away jerseys.
This partnership comes on the heels of Telus, the primary jersey sponsor since 2023, taking over from Bell, which had represented the team since its debut in Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2011. The announcement arrives just in time for the Whitecaps’ highly anticipated Concacaf Champions Cup Final match scheduled for Sunday in Mexico City.
"It’s a remarkable moment for us to partner with Borden Ladner Gervais, a firm that shares our Vancouver roots and commitment to excellence," stated Axel Schuster, CEO of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. "This collaboration highlights the growth of our club during this historic season."
David Di Paolo, incoming national managing partner and CEO of BLG, expressed enthusiasm over the partnership, emphasizing the Whitecaps’ impressive performance and shared values of teamwork and commitment. He noted that the multi-year agreement reinforces BLG’s commitment to the communities they serve, supporting an organization capable of inspiring fans locally and internationally.
As the Whitecaps continue to build momentum in the league, the partnership with BLG is seen as a significant step in solidifying their identity and standing within the MLS. Supporters are eager to see how this collaboration will enhance both organizations as they strive for success on and off the field.
