New Jersey Companies Shine on Fortune 500 List for 2025
Fifteen companies from New Jersey have secured their places on the Fortune 500 list, reflecting the state’s robust economic landscape. The list, unveiled today, features Johnson & Johnson as the state’s highest-ranked company at No. 48, boasting a revenue of $88.82 billion for 2025. This marks an increase from 14 companies in 2024, although down from 22 in 2018.
Additional notable inclusions are Prudential Financial at No. 54 with $70.40 billion in revenue, and Merck & Co. at No. 62, generating $64.16 billion. Other companies on the list include Bristol Myers Squibb, PBF Energy, and Automatic Data Processing.
Kenvue, a consumer health firm that relocated its headquarters to Summit last year, is the newest addition to the list. Collectively, these companies underscore New Jersey’s vital role in the national economy.
At the forefront of the list, Walmart claimed the top spot overall with a staggering $680.98 billion in revenue, followed by Amazon and UnitedHealth Group in the top three. This year’s Fortune 500 list highlights the resilience and diversity of enterprises driving economic growth in New Jersey.
