TCNJ Welcomes Bobby Jones as New Offensive Coordinator
EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) football program has announced the appointment of Bobby Jones as its new offensive coordinator under head coach Tyler Moody. Jones, a seasoned coach with experience across all three NCAA divisions, steps into this role after recently finishing a successful tenure as the head coach at Baltimore’s Archbishop Curley High School.
"We’re excited to have Coach Jones as our new Offensive Coordinator," said Moody. "His passion for coaching driven student-athletes, championship experience, and understanding of the value of a TCNJ education will make him an invaluable addition to our team."
During his time at Archbishop Curley, Jones led the team to capture the 2024 MIAA championship, marking the program’s first state title in over a decade. His exemplary leadership earned him Coach of the Year honors from both the Maryland Football Foundation and Baltimore Touchdown Club.
Jones boasts an impressive Division III background, having previously served as associate head coach and offensive coordinator at his alma mater, Washington and Lee University (W&L), from 2018 to 2023. Under his guidance, the W&L Generals won the ODAC title and reached the NCAA Tournament in 2021. He also has experience as a graduate assistant at Springfield College, where he helped secure a NEWMAC title, and has worked in player development at Rutgers University.
A standout player himself, Jones was a four-year starter on the offensive line at W&L, earning multiple All-ODAC selections. "I could not be more excited to join the TCNJ football program," he expressed. "It is an honor to serve an institution with such a prestigious pedigree, and I look forward to assisting in executing Coach Moody’s vision for the program. Go Lions!"
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in business from W&L and a master’s in education from Springfield College.
