RSLC Launches Major GOTV Initiative in Virginia and New Jersey

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) has announced a significant investment in a grassroots Get Out the Vote (GOTV) canvassing program in Virginia and New Jersey, committing over $2 million to the effort. This initiative is aimed at countering substantial funding from national liberal donors, and is part of RSLC’s strategy to bolster Republican engagement ahead of the crucial 2025 elections.

In Virginia, the RSLC PAC will collaborate with the House Republican Campaign Committee to customize canvassing efforts that emphasize the connection between Republican candidates and their constituents. The program will also utilize digital advertisements, direct mail, and text outreach to target swing voters in key districts.

RSLC President Edith Jorge-Tuñón stated that the 2023 GOTV efforts had already resulted in notable victories in districts previously won by Biden, showcasing the effectiveness of early voter engagement. The RSLC aims to replicate this success by enhancing local participation and addressing community concerns in their messaging.

The committee’s prior initiatives, including the ‘Secure Your Vote Virginia’ campaign, reported increases in absentee ballot requests and returns, indicating a more engaged Republican voter base. This ambitious GOTV strategy is set to mark a pivotal moment for Republican electoral efforts in these states.
