JERSEY CITY, N.J. – New Jersey City University (NJCU) has officially reopened its revamped Nursing Education Center (NEC) in Rossey Hall, featuring cutting-edge technology and simulation equipment to enhance the hands-on education of nursing students. The facility opened its doors to students on June 12, 2025, as NJCU addresses New Jersey’s critical nursing shortage, projected to reach 10,000 by 2030, currently among the highest in the nation.

The new center includes a fully equipped medication room for hands-on training with industry-standard technology, along with immersive virtual reality simulations to enhance critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
