A previously unheard song by the late Olivia Newton-John has been released, titled ‘My Dream’, featuring Italian operatic pop trio Il Volo. The song, produced by Jim Brickman and lyricist Victoria Shaw, was rediscovered after 15 years and completed for release. All proceeds from the song will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, which funds global research into plant medicine for cancer. Olivia, known for hits like ‘Summer Nights’ and ‘Physical’, passed away in 2022 at 73 after battling cancer. Brickman, in an interview with People magazine, shared how the song came to be and its significance in honoring Olivia’s dream of finding a cure for cancer. Olivia’s widow, John Easterling, praised Brickman’s generosity in donating all proceeds from the track and highlighted how the song aligns with Olivia’s ultimate dream of a cancer-free world. The release of ‘My Dream’ not only pays tribute to Olivia’s legacy but also supports ongoing efforts to eradicate cancer through innovative research.
